The GHU are a growing group of experienced hackers. All of the hackers at the GHU are whitehat hackers.(Hacking for good) On this page you will find out three things. 1)What is hacking? 2) Who are the GHU and what do they do? 3) What types of hackers are there and what one should I be?

 

1 what is hacking?) In the cyber security world, the person who is able to descover a weeknes/exploit in a system then exploit it to accomplish his/her goal (Wether this be for a good reason or a bad) is referred to as a Hacker. This process however is referred to as 'Hacking'.

   In the modern day people think that hacking is just getting a facebook account or defacing a website.Yes that is classed as hacking but it is only a small part of the hacking field. There is so much more to hacking than just stealing a facebook account! Things like that are not even the tip of the iceberg. To become a hacker you need to have three things.

1) Interst in the subject. (Otherwise your going to get bored halfway through something big walk of and get caught)

2)A open mind. There are always new methods poping up on how to exploit a weakness in a system and you need to accept and try to use these. Never argue that yours is the best because there is a 99% chance there is a better methode out there.

3)Dedication. Hacking can take a long time you need to be ready to spend lots of time trying and failing no matter how fustrating it is.

 

2 Who are the GHU what do they do?) The GHU is a group of expierenced hackers. They are all white hat hackers who want to help the world defend them selfs against the black hats. To do this they try to help everyone learn how to performe a ciertan hack so they know how to protect them selves from it.

 

3 What type of hackers are there?) There are many types of hackers in the world. Although most of them are basicly... NOOBS

Types:

Script Kidde: A script kiddie is just a NOOB who uses hacking programs created by proffesional hackers to perfome basic hacks. (Dont become one of these ther all NOOBS)

White hat hacker: These are the good guys of the cyber community who try to hack for good and getting the truth out. They generally try to deffend the reputation of hacking as well.

Black Hat Hacker: These are the evil guys, they use the weaknes's to gain money of inoccent people or to damage nations security. They do everything they can to cause trouble. ( They also ruin the hacking communitys reputation)

Grey Hat Hacker: These guys are just hackers. They can go either side. Sometimes they hack for good sometimes they hack for bad and to gain an advantage.

Hacktivists: These hackers use there skill for protesting against injustice and attack a target system. This is generally to gather attention to a ciertan case.
